I noticed a green dusty look to it and "possibly" doubling? Either way, a nice pick up for a buck..... Report this Post to the Staff

Sounds like a good enough excuse for me! Lol I need to straighten out time and again thanks. Gincoin43 Pillar of the Community United States 1543 Posts	Posted 07/28/2019 12:14 am Any quarter, half dollar, dime or dollar older than 1964 is most likely 90% silver. That's where the term "coin silver" comes from. 1964 Kennedys, fraklin and Walking Liberty halves are all 90% silver. They make silver 90% proofs of the newer Kennedys too. I probably should ad that I always wiegh and test with a magnet any coin that is supposed to be silver but is green. Silver oxidation is black, copper is green, some times the green ones are fake.
