Multifaceted Animal Head: The RCM sold out of the singles awhile ago. Now the subscription is sold out. Not surprising since it has a relatively low mintage of 2500. Looks real nice in person. Other dealers have them: - Colonial Acres: 2 singles, but no subscription. - Canadian Coin & Currency - no singles, subscription available. - TSC - Singles available, no subscription. - Canada Post - None available - Gatewest - One single per customer, no subscription.

Nine singles available at CC&C, and at least 10 singles at TSC (atm) for those who don't want the subscription. The sub is available at both CC&C and TSC.
Nice coins.

Sometimes better load rather then regret for not buying even one.... Honestly, I do not see the series as "extremely attractive". And the case is more suitable 3 half oz inexpensive coins. Prefer high relief with the real animal's head lines and contours. But, here the innovation requires craftsmanship on the silver and very exact work. I think, RCM did well here.

I also ordered an Animal Head coin from CC&C. I didn't order the subscription because I strongly dislike the subscription case - the case is too big to store and looks cheap. Also, I'd like to evaluate the first coin before buying subsequent coins in this series.

Pretty soon my credit card will max-out and I won't have to worry about choosing yes or no anymore. I also picked up last month's Piedfort dollar and 5-piece 50-cent wildlife set.

The coin triggered a lot of posts recently on the other web resource.
I hope, all of us (who wanted) got their copy of this small masterpiece.

Thanks for the "in hand"pictures...I only plan on getting the wolf and not the other 2 coins as they don't appeal to me as much...I do however like the lynx more than the bear. Eitherway nice to see a RCM coin stir up abit of excitement...

@YesOrNo That is a good looking coin; I particularly like the faceting pattern on the Obverse field. I won't be buying the series but the reason is that I spent a bunch of my life in the VideoGame industry and the last thing I want to see these days is a 3D model made up of polygons... I know an odd reason to step away but there it is. Quote:Eitherway nice to see a RCM coin stir up abit of excitement This is actually good to see that a straight up silver coin... Albeit with a "ludicrous mode" cameo effect is generating this level of interest and it doesn't have GITD or glass bugs or even selective plating (borrowing the term ludicrous from the Tesla Model S and not intended as a slight).

Quote: What do you think? Will you get the whole series I subscribed to the whole series. For me, if coins are part of a series and I am missing one, then I feel my collection is not complete.

@YesOrNo: Thanks for posting actual images of the coin - they look great! I can see why some folks are excited by the coin. It's not for me, but I agree with the comment about how it is nice to see excitement about a non-bedazzled silver coin from the RCM.

Thank you for sharing, YesOrNo, great coin! As I told, will not buy none. But if there is a choice - whould buy all 3 of them, since when such coin alone, it just doesn't fit a thing. I have the UHR Lynx coin and it literally 'stuck' among other, more traditional RCM coins. Having mini set / series will be more reasonable. However, all depends first on budget and visual appeal of other coins.
