This was in a older type set folder, looked good at a distance. weight .07 Grams, non silver. Cast copy? I don't know if it is a contemporary or modern fake. First Fake 3 Cent Silver I have ever seen in hand.

That would trick me too if I didn't look too hard. Looks like a cast fake.

Question about glued on mint marks. What glue is used? If you put the coin in acetone, will the glue dissolve and the mm fall off?

Super Glue is probably the strongest. It is also probably the most sensitive to be dissolved in acetone.

1858 Canadian Penny. Seller states colour looks more realistic in person. These were being pumped out of China for years without the COPY logo. These are from a common website which I emailed the seller and asked if I ordered one would it come with COPY and seller stated that the word COPY has to be stamped on photographs but wont be on the actual coin. Yikes. EDIT: added "seller states colour looks more realistic in person" from "Looks more realistic in person" - I don't condone nor support sales of counterfeits as I was a victim of fake bullion.

@Chm8Tin2: That's one bad fake! Thanks for sharing!
The depiction of Lady Liberty is cartoonish and lacks the detail of the original - same can be said for the eagle on the reverse. Also the design doesn't match the planchet size - genuine coins don't have rims like that!
I hope they didn't pay the "artist" too much.
