Good morning, counterfeit 1869 Seated Liberty dollar. When the price is too good to be true.. There's probably a reason for it.   I've got a few fake coins let me see if I can find them.    I knew when I got this it wasnt real, I was curios to see what it would look like in hand. When you buy an Eagle for less than the spot price of silver AND comes in a plastic wrapper with Chinese writing.. Edited by Chopped Triumphs

So I got this set of One of every date Morgans knowing that the were Counterfeit, I just wanted to add some fake to my collection. Got these about 6 months ago . Just now sat down to look at them. Every coin is about 5 grams under weight. And 22 of them have something in common. Can you see it? (only posting 2 coins)   Edited by Keith67

Back in the '90s I acquired a bunch of counterfeits from a long time collector who was liquidating his holdings. Here are a few. " Indian Head cent" 1866. weight = 3.08g   Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures
