coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 08/04/2019 6:42 pm The reason this is not a doubled ear is this. The hub would create an doubled ear on the die. That extra incuse mark on the die, will leave a raised earlobe on the coin. When you are looking at is an incuse/flat/shelf like/reduced area on the coin.
