@cipster, on your '53, is that a flattened Rim Fin on the rev from about 10 o'clock to 2 o'clock?

As usual, the host coin is an 1835 Half Cent. Rulau classified these O&G mavericks as being Hard Times era pieces, given that the coins appear to have been stamped in the mid-late 1830's. IMHO, the seller's price for this maverick is high, but relatively few examples of this popular c/s survive.
