I went in 15 minutes ahead and kept refreshing the screen every minute until 12:00. Refreshes went fine until noon, was able to get one in my bag and then was never able to complete the sale. Tried for 15 minutes until it came up with "there is an invalid item in your bag - must remove to proceed."
Fortunately, I had someone else trying for me at the same time and she was able to complete the order. So, if that one ships I should have one. Funny thing about that is it would only allow her to complete purchase with the more expensive shipping option.

I had the same issues as everyone else. Lots of effort on my part, but no luck. I am also on the outside looking in. It feels like looking in somebody else's window on Christmas morning. Nevermind, that's creepy. I'll just say it's disappointing.

Quote: Just to be accurate: 30K in 15 minutes equates to 2,000 per minute, but 33.33 per second. Well, just to be more accurate, there were a handful of coins not available online, they were at the Whitman Coin Baltimore Expo in Baltimore today. Regardless, they went quickly!

I got one, nd I'm glad that I paid mint price. They'll probably run off nother ten thousand for a Gold Rush Special. They always seem to find a way to screw up a special issue. They hav too many friends with 1995W Eagles to screw up their "investments."

Do you think the 95-W will lose value with this new low ASE?

No Teach I don't think so, the 95 W was sold at a much earlier time in internet history, and it was an added bonus with a 4 gold coin set. The 95 W is base priced at $2000 because many of them are still in the sets with the gold coins and not on the market, so it's harder to come by and will be rarer.
unless home shopping hired a phone bank to buy these from a ton of addresses, the vast amjority of these 30K are going to wind up immediately in collector hands right out the gate instead of with dealers like the 1995w did.
I don't think it will affect the 1995W at all, and I dont' think it will get near it or pass it either. This one is just more available to collectors from the start. The 95W started high and stayed there, and still for what it is, it's out of range for most collectors if it was graded.
Still, many people missed out if traffic on their sight is an indication and the reports of missing it hold, it's like at least 4/1 people that didn't get it vs. people that did get an order number. I'd think they will sell well on the secondary market right away and then we will see if the supply meets collector demand as the flippers sell to collectors, or if there just isn't enough for collectors.

It took me 15 minutes of refreshing but I did finally manage to check out and get an order # before having to bolt out the door. Brought back memories of the 2011 ASE set ordering experience nightmare.

I was sitting there for 20 min trying to get it to refresh but I was the unlucky one that did not get to place an order. I did sign up for the notifications so hopefully I can get a rare second shot at one if they come back up. Thankfully I told my brother to get one and he did get a confirmation. Well at least I got one but now I owe my brother a little bit more than the $71 after shipping not as much as the $400 people are wanting though. Oh well. Maybe next time?

There's a reason why the site was crashing and couldn't handle the traffic. Household limits especially that restrictive just make sure the site crashes and the aftermarket is more expensive. All the big boys had tons of people on them as just one example. Sellers have a significant portion of the issue without question

Got the first email at 12:30 that my order has been received and at 4:38 got the email that the order has been confirmed. Since I did the cheapest shipping method will probably be 2 weeks to get it:) still happy I got one.
