Quote: Btw, I saw something interesting: While waiting for the USMint's 2019-S ERP ASE coin page to load, in the "waiting for..." line, I saw "facebook.com" Likely it's just because there's a like or share button on the page like here. The image and functionality comes from Facebook when the page loads.

Yeah, they have links for facebook, snap chat twitter, pintrest ect. On their website. I'd think it's some sort of something to do with that.

Quote: Someone once told me (long time ago) that PCGS tends to grade more leniently than NGC, but PCGS is better for US coins? They were wrong. PCGS is tops for the US market with NGC in second.

I guess we need to take a poll on whether to send these to PCGS or NGC bc I'm hearing both sides and don't know which one to use?

So I see on ebay sellers listings the 2019:enhanced proof ASE slabbed as PR 70 first strike. As a newer collector can I ask how to they know it will grade 70? Will every coin grade 70? How do you get these slabbed and the cost to slab? Are they worth slabbing?

Quote: As a newer collector can I ask how to they know it will grade 70? They don't. They're counting on getting some 70 from their submissions and if they don't get enough to fill all the orders they took they just cancel the extra orders. Quote: Will every coin grade 70? No it won't. Sometimes these special issues grade very well others times they grade poorly, you really just have to wait and see. Quote: How do you get these slabbed and the cost to slab? https://www.PCGS.com/howtosubmithttps://www.PCGS.com/submissionguideFor this issue though you'd just ship it in the mint packaging or the unopened mint box if you wanted the COA slabbed as well. Quote: Are they worth slabbing? If you get a 70 yes, generally not really for 69s.

As you can see, this is my first post. I really felt it was necessary to send out a big "Thank You" to everyone here, especially Big-Kingdom.
Like so many on Thursday, I tried to order but was unsuccessful. Sure, big disappointment. But not the end of the world.
Thursday evening and Friday morning I read all of the different coin forums and comments from different sites about everyone's experience on Thursday.
While at work very early I was reading this forum. And about 7:10 I happened to read Big-Kingdom's post about his experience and his suggestion about trying at 7:30am. I thought, "Hey it's worth a try."
So at 7:29 I started refreshing. OMG, I couldn't believe it when at 7:30 the blue "Remind Me" changed to "Add to Bag". I started shaking! But I calmly clicked through the process making sure I didn't screw anything up with typos.
I finished in about 30 seconds as the site went smoothly. Received my "Received you order" email in a minute. And at 7:40 I got my "Confirmation" email.
I couldn't believe it! Couldn't stop the adrenaline for a good hour. By then my co-workers started coming in. The woman who sits next to me said even before she took her coat off, "Did you get the coin?!" She could tell.
While I'm thrilled for myself and others who were able to order the coin, I do feel really bad for those true collectors who were not as lucky.
So again, thank you Big-Kingdom for mentioning 7:30. I would've NEVER have thought they'd become available again on the website.

Quote: They were wrong. PCGS is tops for the US market with NGC in second. This is the general consensus, though I do have to say that when I was searching for my 1995-W proof ASE I saw several proof 70 PCGS's that were not perfect. Another thing to keep in mind is that a 70 NGC will be worth more than a 69 PCGS.

Who is better PCGS or NGC is like asking is a Chevy "better" than a Ford.
I have been collecting coins graded by NGC for many, many years and I'm very happy with their service, and ability to acquire and sell my NGC coins.
If one is "better" then how are they better.

To those here, in the know, About how many ASE'S are struck per die.? Thanks. Let me be more precise, Making 30,000 of these coins, I am wondering if the Mint used more then say 2 sets of dies, if that? I am thinking that if they did use one set, the result may be the tail end of the lot would NOT be as crisp as the first half. Looking to see, answers of those "in the know", and their thoughts, Thanks
