@jw3, being that it is magnetic that what you have there is not a blank planchet but rather the punch-out from an electrical box.

See this prior CCF thread for examples of things (such as these punch-outs) that look like coins, but aren't:

Even it being magnetic does not mean that it cannot be a blank planchet of some sort the rim coloring of the silver-ish color on rim is what keeps me thinking
