While working through some of the LWC's in my collection I came across this 1953 LWC. It is in pretty bad shape, which is a shame because it was probably pretty cool right after it was struck. There are problems on both sides of the coin.
The obverse has a skull crack with a die chip. The "E" in Liberty has two possible die chips (one to the left and one at the top). It is possible those are PMD, but it does not look like any metal is missing from the "E" so I think they are die chips. I am not sure what happened to "LI" in Liberty. Could be PMD or maybe Die Deterioration?
On the reverse, the left wheat ear has a die chip and the "T" in cent has a die chip.
I wish it was in better condition, but I put it in a flip anyway and added it to the error collection.
