Here's a bit of an update. After buying & trying the Littleton Morgan albums I decided they were to clunky. I have moved my Morgan dollar collection to Caps Albums. It is a much more detailed enjoyable way to view the collection. The only draw back is the form factor, they are big. They also have spaces for more varieties which in turn renews the chase. I also have started filling the other Morgan albums with my duplicate lesser grade coins.

I like now Caps albums have a much better organized website. that when I was trying to find them years ago. My pages are "Encap" brand from Wizard Coin Supply on ebay at 31.90 for 6 pages. The half dollar capsules were 50 for 20.00. https://www.ebay.com/itm/311988265503

One thing that several people have posted. Having the 3 albums. Silver coins look really nice on Blue Paper. And I like the look of red coins on the dansco.

Great pics guys!
Personally I prefer the blue with silver if the coins are lustrous. I guess my eye likes the dark and light contrast. But when they are darker of just in circulated condition, the beige does not seem to hide them as much.

@hfjacinto Thank you for posting this topic. I've been searching to a comparison like this for several days. It's also refreshing that you have come back and done updates to the old thread. I'm looking to get back into coin collecting, started when I was 12 in 1980 but had my collection stolen in a house burglary several years ago. I've been debating over albums or direct fit capsules. I'll probably start with collecting Lincoln Cents in BU condition for as many that are affordable. So I want something that will protect them the best.

Thank you seasmoke! I do have a recent update. My circulated set of Flying Eagle and Indian Head cents used to be housed in a Littleton binder While I liked the quality of the binder, it had 2 major issues. First was that it was very thick with a lot of empty space. The second was that the pages had these metal grommets which would stick and make flipping pages really hard. And while I liked the Dansco Albums, there was a lot of space at the end that I wasn't certain what to put in, but due to this thread http://goccf.com/t/467882I finally decided to move all the FE and IHC to a new Dansco. And I had an Idea what do at the end with the empty spaces. So here is the updated Flying Eagle and Indian Head cent Album. And this is what I did with the blank pages.

One thing I did notice is that Whitman albums are updated more often than Dansco. If that is important, its nice to know a Whitman will be more current. For example on the 20/21st century type set, they added the Women's quarter and the AI dollar.

Does anyone find the Dansco gold script hard to read or midst plain ugly? I was considering finding a way to relabel them for better readability.
Also, I'm considering cutting notches in the pages so I can avoid scratching coins when removing the plastic or may just use tweezers.

Some time ago I made a thread showing how I did this with a set of inexpensive punches: https://goccf.com/t/140384Wow - just realized that thread was posted 12 years ago in 2013!
