I Definitely prefer that 2001 effigy of the HM the Queen over the "everyone's grandma" presently used. Just my preference, but to me royalty should LOOK like royalty when used on coinage. I prefer a more regal look, and the REV of this coin just "needs" a regal looking effigy on the front.
