Not saying its DD. I'm just trying to get the difference down between the small and large date. . So on the small ,the 2 seems to be skinny and hooks more. Than On large date 2 is thicker.. is this right ?

to the CCF!

Yep. It's a small date. Here's a side-by-side of the 1982-D Large and Small dates. The small curve on the 2 makes it easy to tell them apart.

Ok. So am I right to just be looking for difference in the 2s? Should any when I find them?

Is it copper or Zinc? Do you have a weight on the coin?

Flick it in the air see if it has I high pitched ring to it. If it does then it's a 95% copper and its extremely rare

By the look of the surface, it is a plated coin, so zinc and not rare.

I wouldn't be "flicking it in the air." Buy a scale, they're cheap.

Small date zinc. I look at the top of 8 for it being smaller than the large date 8.
