Anyone ever gotten any of them sealed brundesbank (hope I spelled that right)bags? The ones from Germany, my friend told me they were great for finding rare coins, and they were rare to find the sealed bags to. So I found some online the last 2 bags and bought them.... I am sure I got screwed on the price because they were 200 a piece but I wanted to see what was so special about them. SO you guys ever get one of these? Is there anything good in there? I hope I find some good coins, since I'm getting 42 pounds.

I bought a bag back in 2005, but the one I bought wasn't sealed. There was some nice stuff in there, but alot of it was basic circulated coins from the past 40-50. There was a few from back in the 1800's and early 1900's. It's a fun time going through them with the kids.

I am paranoid lol I would think the person cherry picked it then sold it to you. Do you remember what you paid? I bought 2 21 pound sealed bags.

I looked at the receipt and it was 25 lbs for $157.50 including shipping, but as I said that was back in 2005

I at one time had found a site that sold the bags with the bigger silver coins in them, but the price was high for me at the time, now I wish I had bought a bag. And I can't find what I did with the website address.

Thats a pretty good price, ya metal prices have rose back in 2007 I found them going for 150-175 but have also seen them listed for only 100 or 120. I really dont mind the price the thrill of the hunt is worth it. Thanks for the info!

I bought one back in '04, I think, for $125.00 including the shipping. That was the best time I have ever had searching through coins. There was a lot of Spanish modern coins in my bag, this will vary; but there was a good representation of coins from all over the world including the 6 populated continents. Dates ranged from current year back to one French coin in the 1700s. There were even several brilliant almost uncirculated coins.

I wish I could afford another bag now, but I don't know what I would do with all the excess.
