Warning! This post is not about the 2019-S Enhanced Reverse Proof ASE!
Many moons ago, back in 2012, I posted about the US Mint's 1994 World Cup commemorative coins and included in the post a couple of Coin Covers that included the US World Cup half dollar. You can read it here
1994 World Cup Coins.
I recently came across a similar 1994 World Cup first day coin cover featuring the silver dollar from the program instead of the CuNi clad half dollar. The cover includes the three 1994 World Cup stamps issued by the US Postal Service and features a cancellation postmark from the site of the official first day of issue for the stamps (East Rutherford, NJ / May 26, 1994) .
When it comes to philatelic-numismatic covers (PNCs), I tend only to purchase those with a direct connection back to sponsor/beneficiary of the US commemorative coin. In this case, World Cup USA 1994, Inc.
This is the first 1994 World Cup USA coin cover I have seen with a silver dollar, though I admit I haven't looked for one on a regular basis. It does make me wonder, however, if a silver dollar coin cover was also one issued for the Championship Game on July 17, 1994 as was done with the half dollar. (Anyone have one?) For me, the search is on!
Enjoy!
