About 29mm. Don't know what coin is. Unsure of orientation on date side. Not sure what X is on other side—I think crown is at top of that side, with shield properly oriented, but X seems like some kind of stamp. Any information much appreciated.

This is a Spanish 8 maravedis coin of 1625 (struck at the Segovia mint, aqueduct mintmark), which has been revalued to 12 maravedis; hence the XII countermark

Bart is right about host coin. https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=6127296

Counterstamp is not XII maravedis from 1636, that one is tinier. Is 1658 restrike to IV maravedís.
