Would this be considered an error? Is it a double strike or die clash. Maybe something else. Some letters have the start of another letter on them, you can see faint words where there shouldn't be, letters over the rim and a different texture to on certain parts of the coin

Are you saying secondary letters on the rim?
("Over the rim" made me think of an off-center strike.)

EDIT: It also looks like MD on the date and "b" of Liberty.
Nickels and clad are notorious for having MD.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.
