Hey everybody, I have this 1950 S Wheat penny and I noticed that a piece of Lincoln's mouth was missing. I don't think this is circulation damage, I could be wrong. What are your thoughts?
The whole profile on the face is showing weakness from over polishing. But it can be worse: No premium for your coin though. The value is knowing what happened. The die was over polished on the fields reducing the devices/designs. Continued polishing, continues to weaken the devices.
