1964-D 5c Possible D/D Repunched Mint Mark / RPM

The mint mark doesn't look like the RPM seen on PCGS, but it looks very weird. Is it just Machine Doubling or Die Deterioration Doubling? Thanks in advance! Report this Post to the Staff

Tanman2001 Pillar of the Community United States 4407 Posts	Posted 01/17/2020 1:58 pm This is Machine Doubling, as there are no split serifs and the size of the mintmark has not increased. Nickel RPMs are one of the hardest to spot because of how close they are to the rim. Damage and Die Deterioration hits the mintmark very quick. I've only found one, and it's really hard to see.
