The first 2 are Reichsbanknotes, issued by the German State. The last one is notgeld, issued by cities, towns, companies, clubs, .......almost any type of concern.......restaurants, shops, .......almost endless.

If you are collecting both German and Austrian, I would suggest you keep them separate.

Thank You, I will. I haven't started actively collecting notgeld yet, the ones I have were passed down to me from a relative. I am very interested in starting but became overwhelmed looking at ebay. These are the other ones I have.

The orange card piece is nice. Yes, stepping into the 'world of notgeld' can be a bit over- whelming but it's why I created my notgeld.com website. I want to help all collectors and hopefully stop them being ripped off by unscrupulous sellers.

My latest acquisition which arrived here today. These Geislingen 'Stadtgemeinde' types are almost always cancelled with, what I call 'an anchor' cancellation. (see top note) but the 100 million mark note is not cancelled. The real reason why I bought this yellow note is the statement at the very bottom: 'Nachahmung oder Faelschung dieses Gutscheines wird mit Zuchthaus bestraft' ('Imitation or counterfeiting of this voucher will be punished with imprisonment.')"
