GREEN RIVER WHISKEY

This has been a favorite of mine as I have found at least 6 different
dies for the obverse plus one text change which reads GREEN RIVER WHISKEYS.
I haven't had the time or temperment to photograph and identify all the different pairings yet.

I found a post online that perhaps a dozen exist.

It appears to be a rather common medal, a Green River ebay search will pull up many.

To clarify I meant to say a dozen or so different dies could be identified.

That is a very nice piece in lovely condition. Thanks for sharing it.

I note with interest the spelling "whiskey". Here in the UK a general convention ( not universal ) is that "whiskey" is Irish but "whisky" is Scots. I have seen "whisky" used by US sources. Do the different spellings have a significance in the US?

I don't know. Perhaps someone with more experience can chime in...

Should be an easy Google.
