Hello all - first time posting - long time reader.
As the title suggests - just wondering if anyone has any information or knowledge about these ?

Trying to research leads to only a few past large auction sales and I cant really find any more in depth discussions or talk - concerning conditions, values , types, ages etc.

The particular token I came across for sale that I am interested in has a horse on the front, orchids on the back. Online research/ info leads me to Szechuan 5 cent gaming token. (Horse and Orchids) No other writing or numbers on it... just a token.

Values seem to be outrageous - I guess I want to know why - and how to determine date/age of such pieces, as well as other factors like condition, rarity etc.

If anyone has a good resource they would like to share, I would love to learn more about these - it seems like an interesting niche to collect. At least I am interested - not sure how popular to others. Thanks in advance for any advice or friendly info.

Thanks for the reply. I wasn't sure of posting guidelines- I'm assuming I cannot link to a webpage of the token in question as someone is selling it online. Can I link things from PCGS website with examples?
