The coin have really light image of reverse side of Lincoln Cent
You have to really look to see Lincoln sitting in the columns. Coin weights 2.5 grams, same size as penny. Not sure if it's gold or copper, please help me.

Yes sort of a modern day hobo penny, although rather than carving the metal to create the design, it looks like both sides were re-struck. Perhaps someone is using US cents to make pirate party tokens? I'd probably save it for the novelty.

As Gincoin stated, it is someone's attempt at making a Hobo Cent.
Just not a very good job.
Doesn't really add any value unless you can find someone who collects them.

Thanks for the quick reply, I was hoping that I was a mint error. Penny struck on a foreign planchet.
You guys are awesome

to the CCF!

With the amount of detail left over from the original strike and the fact that the copper layer hasn't been broken, I think it's a pressed cent, not a hobo cent.

Basically, like, you know elongated coins? That, just not elongated.

(It might well have actually been struck with actual dies.)
