I found these identical imperfections on the bottom rings of two dimes in separate rolls. I wonder if these are known errors and if they can qualify as a variety if significantly more would come out. The following excerpt from NGC does not leave too much room but maybe someone knows more!
"NGC does not attribute as varieties coins that display Strike Doubling, Abrasion Doubling, Die Deterioration Doubling, Master Die Doubling (doubling that is found on all coins made produced from that master die), insignificant die chips, breaks, cracks or any variety coin that falls under mint tolerances for doubling or normal die wear."

I agree that the die chip at the bottom of the torch is pretty similar on both coins.

They are in the same location but not identical.
Unusual place for one but maybe a Die Chip in which case there
possibly could be thousands of them minted.
A die chip is not classed as a variety.

Thank you for your comments! Yes, I was not precise enough, they are not identical in the picture, but I guess they were made by the same die! I'm just curious how many more will turn up.

I'd say they're from the same die, the die chips are nearly identical. However that is a very common place for die chips.

I'm pretty sure that this one would fall under "insignificant die chips".
