I have a number of coins I have had for sometime and just don't no for sure if they are what I want them to be or not lol . I am posting some pictures of a few let me know what you think . I think the 1888 is a 8/7 the 1861 rpd the 2 1960 d sml /lg and the screw coin not a clue found this coin while looking under magnification saw this so I took this picture the coin is damaged but it looks like a screw to me can any one explain ? thanks

@rt55, best practice is to limit each thread to a single coin so that we can provide a thorough analysis of each one and efficiently use the search tool. With regard to the coin with that odd "screw" feature, it looks to me like a series of gouges, with one larger one and then some chatter after that coin took the initial hit. I don't think it is a strike-through or any sort of mint error.

thank you spence your right the coin is really damaged Ive looked at a lot of cuts ,gouges ,and dents and dings just never saw one that looked just like a phillips head screw with threads .thought it was kinda neat
