Thanks for the recent comments from everyone! As you might expect with the Covid crisis the next important steps for this collection are on hold. We also have seem to hit a dead end with any further solid information on the other family inherited portions from Uncle Warbucks. Seems at least one other set that was confirmed by an elderly relative may have been long ago further disbursed. Still a work in progress and will keep you all posted as things progress for sure!

This is my first visit to CCF in more than two months -- hospitalized with the THE virus. Thats all I'll say about that.
First and foremost, please do not discuss these coins with any family member or your best friends or your minister. The best person you know and trust might mention it to a second quality individual or someone who mentions the treasure while siting IN THE CHURCH PEW where an adjacent parishioner makes note. In my 80 years I learned that loose lips sink ships. Also, good luck in finding a safe place for them.
Be careful who you mention it to on a telephone-- your phone number can be traced to your address very easily.
My suggestion would be to make copies of the copies which you have already made--no more handling the stored coins than necessary. I would send a registered letter with return receipt requested to the President of Professional Coin Grading Service or to President of Heritage Auction and just send a few of the photo copies of the key dates and of course you may have other coins which could make a separate auction among that collectors stuff! The president of PCGS has been known to make an appointment right away to visit the customer to view an outstanding coin. Heritage should be very interested to market that set. Oh, Yes!
There may be a single super collector who would buy the entire Flying Eagles and Indian Heads as is, in the original album pages. Somone who says "I want it! Forget the price!"

Oh Dear. I commented as soon as I scanned the photograph which tell the basis for my opinion but I failed read you friends inability to remember the name of her cousin. And, also that she is contacting cousins here there and everywhere. Oh Dear. I smell possible problems. Her best advantage is the they were bequeathed or gifted to her father many years ago. Keep the cousins at bay might be wise/

Hello to all my wonderful advisors here on this fantastic forum! So sorry to have disappeared with these amazing coins for so long - but nothing new to report until now. Uncle Daddy Warbucks has been hiding in a bank vault since my last post - but now out 'n about in the fresh air and will be seeking new homes come this fall. Finally, the rest of this enormous estate is settled and everything except this small cent collection has been liquidated. A very encouraging in-person meeting with a top auction house just last week. After other consultations they were chosen. As most of you predicted the coins will be individually slabbled/graded for maximum Warbucks -LOL! There may be some type of press release on the collection as they are - still intact in the old Wayte Raymond pages which would be nice. I understand the ultimate slabbing but still have a big soft spot for them as found. A once in a lucky lifetime treasure untouched for at least 70 years and possibly much longer. The coins will have a notation of being from the Uncle Daddy Warbucks Collection. We did find out just who UncIe Daddy Warbucks actually was - a Great Uncle of the heir who died in 1954, but these were bequeathed sometime before his death. More details are not allowed as per the present owner at this time because we are still gathering HTF family history information and waiting for particulars from the auction house. I am, again, grateful for all the guidance and enthusiasm you all showed me during my amazing journey with this collection. I would be happy to offer updates as they come if anyone has an interest. Thank you!

You got it 52Raymo - I will be posting all the fine details very soon. We are finally nearing the end of the rainbow here, which is a bit bittersweet for me. I already miss seeing them together and in person. I got my own small FE/IH collection out to view just yesterday and my heart kinda sunk, if you know what I mean.

canudigit, I've been following your story and certainly understand the conflict you're facing. And yes, please post the auction links when available. By the way, all of my FECs and IHCs look like they've been run through a Gumball Machine several times when compare to your magnificent set!
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures
