1972 LMC S Over S? Or Am I Just Seeing Things

not really sure what to make of this S mint mark. not sure if it is the lighting or not but it looks to me that there is another S under and slightly south of the main mint mark. any other thoughts on this?

Just a damaged mintmark punch creating a new fold on the mintmark.

lower half inside of the mint mark damage punch and I believe the top half (inside) may be the start of a die chip
