1983 D Lincoln Cent Weight Issue - Coin Community Forum

F3wiki New Member United States 13 Posts	Posted 05/01/2020 10:57 pm When I am coin roll hunting, I weigh all of my 1983 D pennies hoping for a copper one. Today I came across a 1983 D penny that weighed in at 2.75g. It has no foreign substances on it. Ive never had a zinc penny weigh that heavy or a copper weigh that light. Any thoughts? Is it out of the +/- range of zinc? Report this Post to the Staff
