A close up of the mint mark would help with VAM attribution. I agree VF cleaned. -CH27

I'd say EF detail, but agree it has been harshly polished.

VF to XF details cleaned and I don't see the "cc" under the "o"
I wouldn't put more money in this coin to have it graded.

First, On your coin, the O/CC mm is high and left, which would appear to match either VAM-11 or its contemporary counterfeit, VAM-59. I cannot see the key markers for either VAM-11 or VAM-59. The photos are fairly pixelated when enlarged, but the surface appears to be grainy, as well as polished. There are aspects that do not match any of the 1900-O/CC VAMs. On the obverse, this includes the misshapen stars, divot in the lower cap, and apparently closed "9" in the date. On the reverse, this includes the eagle's broken left wing (our visual right), the broken "D" on UNITED, and the retooled 4th, 5th, and 6th tail feathers. I would need to see clearer photos, but I am skeptical of this coin's authenticity.

I think I can now see a C to the upper left of the O.
I still don't think it's slab worthy though.

Better pictures attached for your reference. I am sure this is an authentic O/CC. Just not sure if it's cleaned or polished... Decided not to submit for grading though...

Much better photos! Thank you for posting them. What I saw in the first set was caused by the pixelated photos, rather than the coin. I agree, it looks like a genuine coin. The new photos show the overmark as O/O/CC centered, which would be VAM-8. There are three known stages of VAM-8, and yours would appear to be VAM-8A. A high resolution closeup of the mint mark area, including the bottom of the wreath to the rim from the "E" in ONE through the "DO" in DOLLAR would confirm whether it is VAM-8. There should be evident pitting from the rusted die in this area. I see a weak die crack along the top of "ITED" of UNITED through the eagle's right wing (our visual left) to the top of "ST" in STATES. This matches VAM-8, and the weakness of the crack matches VAM-8A. I can't see the clash marks that would suggest VAM-8B or the clash marks and reverse polishing that would suggest VAM-8C, but these are possible. The photos strongly suggest that the coin has been cleaned. That would put the grade in the VF Details range (92 code, cleaned).

Much better pics! I think it *might* straight grade at EF40. Not worth the grading fees, IMO
