1787 N York Excelsior, Eagle Left, Uniface Strike, Fantasy Pattern. Real?

This isn't any kind of pattern. The design is a poor copy of the 1797 Excelsior copper (eagle facing left) that is assumed to be related to the state of New York. The blank with border side is reminiscent of many arcade tokens made since the early 1980's so that is probably around the time it was made. It is also very similar to many storecard tokens that were popular with coin dealers in the 70's and 80's. It could be a sales example for being shown to dealers to try and solicit an order. In some cases they would send potential customers several one sided pieces for them to select from. The dealers name, address etcwould be put on the back of the actual storecards.
