KauaiHawaiiGuy Pillar of the Community United States 612 Posts	Posted 05/24/2020 10:51 am I'm not sure how this coin got it's strange toned areas, but in hand you can tell it's not something intentionally introduced onto the surface. Only thing I can figure is that something was near or touching this coin and over the years whatever that was reacted with the silver and caused those strange little toned areas. Spots and the discoloration (not toning), rub on the cap, the obverse fields and slightly above the ear. AU58, nice AU though. Amazing that TPGs do call these MS. Report this Post to the Staff

It looks like someone may of already dipped the coin and did not rinse causing the white spots. The down side is that a dip may not help the coin. Grade: AU/MS Report this Post to the Staff
