...regaining independence. It's the reason why our National Mint made this Banknote. And it's also the main reason why I bought them (I'm only collecting coins). I love history and the history of my country is especially very close to my heart and mind. So, when I was today at a bank and I saw this banknote and tombac I knew that I had to buy them. It's my way to celebrate this special for all Poles day.

If you want to know more about Polish Independence Day and\or Józef Pi³sudski just click.

And here's my acquisitions:

The 5.000.000's design looks like the old series (up to 1994) which ended with a 2.000.000.
There are some 'notes' (paper, not metal ) that resemble this series (10, 20, 50, and 100 million) made for collectors. You can see them here:

DL20K is right - the 5mln has design of the old series of polish banknote (before 1994). The tombac is a "metal" version of banknote which was design in 1994 but wasn't enter into the normal circulation.

The Polish Mint (Mennica Polska) does have a web store, but in Polish only as far as I can tell. And they even offer the note and that 5 million thingie. http://www.sklep.mennica.com.pl/grupa.php?idg=102
