I think double die! Though I have definitely been wrong before

Looks like MD to me. Is the coin in a holder of some kind? Just a FYI: it would be called a doubled die not a double die.

Full photos of the obverse and reverse would be cool. What year/mint coin is this? 2x2 worthy.

DDD (Die-Deterioration-Doubling) happens between the devices and the rim. (On the tops of the motto devices) Note the curve on the 'S' on TRUST? You can see that the MD is reducing the size of the devices. So it is Machine Doubling that is seen on these devices.

Tysm for the feedback so far!

It's hard to see, & I will try to provide more photos; but the S looks to be of normal shape with a 2nd S imprinted to the right of it, rather than 'cut in' to the original S shape, they both have smooth/rounded edges that match.
I'm still a newbie at this but I'm definitely hopeful for DD! Going to send it in for grading to be sure :)
