@dar, it looks like a blank planchet was struck with various letter punches to make this token (as opposed to being machine-made). That makes it interesting, but I think more difficult to figure out. I'm at a loss, but am hoping that someone else has better luck.

I've not seen this one before. That said, the fabric of it suggests to me that it's between 100-150 years old.

Might it be a San Francisco trolley token? Any vecturists want to chime in on this one?

@exoguy, what do you make of the group of 4 Fs in the center? Is that a monogram which is familiar to you (it isn't to me...)
