Hard to tell for sure but that might be a notch in the upper serif.

Slpit plating around the curve though.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.

Small date copper plated zinc core and not a RPM.Split copper plating.

The mintmark is showing mintmark punch damage. Look at several coins that year and you will see this on various dies on cents and other denominations as well. Not a RPM.
