Not sure what going on with this area. Took toothpick to it, not dirt. Looking at bottom of the area it is raised I think. Sorry top 2 pics alittle blurry. Thoughts?

@clint, it looks to be a different color. Is it dried paint maybe? You could give it a bath in acetone.

I'm seeing a damaged coin. Either from coin contact or altered in a garage. Not a plus for the coin. Just a spendable coin.
