1967 Kennedy Half Dollar Obverse Error?

So this maybe raised, but could be attached to the coin with by contact or with glue? But it is impossible to be raised on the coin as the die is flat on that area. If there were an issue with a die creating this there were be many examples found. But I feel it is something on the coin. Report this Post to the Staff

I put it back under the microscope and rotated it around to look at it from different angles and I can see where it looks gouged like it pushed up the metal there. Thanks again for the input. macmercury Pillar of the Community United States 5838 Posts	Posted 07/17/2020 10:21 pm I have the same kind of problems looking at what I though was errors in coins collecting in the beginning, if you're lucky to have coin shows with dealers having error inventory, that would help to evaluate what error coins are.
