I've found examples of a similar clash on the 1943, but can't find anything about this one.

Don't have a lot of experience with Canadian errors/varieties/websites, so any help pointing me to a reference source would be appreciated as would any general knowledge or insight (other than "your pictures are crappy" as I am well aware).

I had a similar one a few years ago

I think they are more comonly found on 1943 5 cents, its the first 1945 I see whit the whole king's silhouette clearly visible, Nice find !
