I picked up a bunch of mint sets at an auction and trying to figure out if this is a small date. I tried to compare it to other pictures but it looks close to me. Thanks

That's it--small date. Seven (7) is positioned a little higher than the large date. Origin of 9 points/ends more horizontally.

Small date for sure. If the 9 curls in to a point, its a small date. My eyes seem to have trouble imagining a line across the top of the numbers and if it is level, so looking at the 9 is easier for me.
