I finally got mine, haven't removed it from the little baggie in the envelope yet. Just need to get an Unc W for the set of 6 2020 nickels and definately need to upgrade my P & D's.
An expensive year for Jefferson collectors.

Do you guys like this "freemium" approach- which appears to be scattershot? Or would you prefer an "incentive" proof set of W-mint coins of each denomination offered as a bonus - one coin each - offered in different products over the course of the year?

I think the mint needs to handle the bonus coins better. Put it in a capsule not a baggie, almost looks like an impaired proof. John1

To be fair it only appears that way because of the bag overtop, once removed it looks perfectly fine.

Ummm, thats what they seem to be doing now. At least to an extent. Not an entire set in one year, granted. A set of W pennies last year, nickels this year. I'm going to guess they will do dimes next year etc etc. Thats not scattershot. I buy two sets every year regardless. So its a good bonus for me. One for my albums, one stays in the OGP.

Yes, it does look better in hand. I can blame the camera but its more the operator's fault :). I think the inclusion is a great way to make buying the sets a bit more enticing.

They've gotta do something to justify the price increases. Personally I like them. I intend to scale back a lot on my mint purchases, but I'll be continuing the annual sets so I am enjoying these bonuses. My only "complaint" is that no manufacturer has slots for them in their albums.

I've been putting in albums that I have like the reverse proof nickel went in the bison nickel album and 2 w cents went to the Dansco cent album.

I have both sets and to me the standard proof looks much better. Not to say anything bad about the reverse proof, both should grade a 69 minimum should I choose. Flawless.

I just got an empty Whitman and pages for pennies, nickles, dimes and quarters so I can put the special issues, like the S quarters and such, in their own albums. At least thats the thought. We will see how it goes. LOL

I have been using a "blank page" Dansco album to hold the modern coins once the appropriate Dansco was filled. It was easier than replacing several binders to fit more pages.

If only the 1913-1938 Buffalo nickels has been made with this type of finish!
