Let us know when it goes up on ebay. It'll be interesting to see how it does. Good luck!

The note can have evidence of embossing AND be a Missing Overprint error. Typically this error occurs when two half-sheets are accidentally fed into the machine, one on top of the other. The upper sheet receives the overprint and the lower sheet is protected from the ink but still receives some embossing. This scenario happens most often.

Thanks for all your information and guidance. We are on a journey to see what it is we are going to do with it. We called his sister in CA yesterday to get them involved as we don't want to make these kinds of decisions by ourselves. Thanks again! Ya'll have a great day!

I have enjoyed reading about this bill! Nice to see someone find something interesting AND also learning about the grading process!

It's worth a couple hundred bucks. It's NOT a one of a kind as ive owned missing 3rd printing error notes in the denom of $5 and $10.

We got $300 for it from the collectable coin place that sent it out to get graded.

If you are satisfied with what you got then that is really all that matters isn't it?

It was my husband's bill that his mother left. He had to split it 3 ways after we were reimbursed for the grading cost, which was $60. So that left everyone getting $80. Better than nothing. Can't say we are happy or disappointed because it is what it is, right? We are not about greedy. We just needed it to be fair.

Hey $80 is $80. Congrats on the sale. My dad left me a few coins that didn't fit in with my collection and I sold them off also.
