How do I tell if the quarter is silver? It's not magnetic ...
Also, discoloration looks worse than it is.
Appreciate hearing grading comments.

Does the edge have a copper strip? That would be the easiest way. next easiest way would be weight. A Clad quarter should weigh around 5.67 grams, a silver quarter would weigh around 6.25 grams.

Quarters, and almost all US coins, are normally non-magnetic. the only exception I can think of is the steel cent.
