IF you would please. I found this coin roll hunting a few years ago also.

The first two pictures are not copper. It's the lighting.

They have the look of a re-plated coin,so it is PMD.

That's what I thought also. I have a couple other steel cents, but they are much darker. This one has a bright steel color, almost like it's made of stainless.

You actually found it a few years ago in roll ? Did the roll come from a bank ?

Plated or not, it clearly has surface deterioration issues and is worth little if anything over face value.

Riellyscions, I normally only get coin rolls from grocery stores, gas stations or other businesses.

However, a few years ago I was looking for silver coins, so I might have gotten it from the bank, since I was going through a lot of coins each week.

Grelko, in the future, I recommend that you get rolls from banks more rather than from stores, as they may actually need that change in their registers

Nieuw,

Because of the coin shortage lately, when I get coins from different stores, I don't "buy" the rolls. I trade my rolls of coins for theirs.

I label my rolls, so that I would know if I got the same ones back next time. The people working at the stores know me, so they don't mind grabbing a different roll if it's already labeled.

Sure, there's still a chance that I would end up going through some of the same coins I've already checked at some point, but I can't afford to get boxes of them from the bank.

I don't think the banks around here let you buy rolls right now, but I believe you can still get boxes specially ordered.
