Hi am new to coin collecting. I saved pennies in a large jar since the 1970's and with the lockin during the pandemic began to go through them and also began educating myself about Lincoln cents. There is a lot to learn and it can be overwhelming at times. My husband had also been saving coins, so I also have dimes, nickels, quarters, half-dollars and gold dollar coins. I am very interested in learning from those with experience and look forward to interacting in this community. I recently finished sorting the coins by year and am not looking at them under a microscope, but afraid I will miss something.

to CCF. You need to learn what to look for before you waste your time looking. Here is a very good site to learn from http://www.error-ref.com/doubled-dies/
I suggest you look at them first with a jeweler's loupe,12 power. Then if you find something interesting use your scope.
