I'm not sure if that is a Toledo mint mark or An "A", which might make it from Valladolid.

Hi, I think is an "A" with a cross, then it is the personal mark of assayer Andres de Contreras (1585) who worked in Cuenca mint. Weight and diameter are according with 2 maravedis coin.

Same coin, different assayer as #1, you can date it between 1582 and 1585

BTW, why are these coins on medieval forum? They are not medieval, modern times began a Century before this coin :(

Regards

According to our forum, we have used 1600 as the cut off date.
