What would cause 'United' to be almost nonexistent? (Also, Washington has a small die break/cud in his hair)

@cass, it looks to me like some grease was in the die that struck this quarter. That prevented the letters in UNITED from being fully struck. Also, that does look like a die chip in George's hair.
