Yep that is a die crack. The corners of the Lincoln Memorial are common areas for initiation of these cracks, much like the cracks in the tar in this pic:

82-84 has die cracks like bie's in the 50's .you will find them all the time if you look for them ,some will have 4-5 cracks ,and some both sides. I have one with 7 cracks . If you like them save them ,see if you can fill a jar in a year or two with them. good luck,and happy hunting
