Wow that is pretty impressive--worthy of a 2x2! Looks like the die crack continues past the "hive" and back out to the rim at the letter I.

That's what I thought also. It almost looks like I'd be able to break that whole side off.
I actually bought a box of 2x2's the other day. Just haven't decided between using staples (long lasting but can scratch coins), tape (doesn't last as long, but no scratches), or possibly even glue, but I wouldn't want to get it on the coins.

nice find, if you want to glue ,use a glue stick, but here's the thing how much are you going to handle it ? 2x2 book pages you can use any of them (tape, glue, staples )and show them off. good luck ,and happy hunting

Quote: A very nice one! It is RCD-1c-1983-03R Stage-A Oh nice, where's that listed at? Edit - I found it. Sure that's not a stage B with the zinc showing through? So far out of this pile of 1983 cents, I'm up to a total of 30 that have small reverse memorial die cracks. Plus, The 1 posted above with the hive SKH-1c-1983-28 (Spike head) SKH-1c-1983-41 (spike head) Cookiemonster, I was going to get a binder and put those plastic 2x2 pages in it eventually. I only have a couple coins that I'd want in there so far.

it all in what you want to do with them, some like to show friends ,and some just put them in 2x2 boxes .I keep some to show but most get put away (some day my kids will go nuts )I have a lot of spikeheads, they find me .but you should be looking for double dies in them too 82-84. some the die crack is a maker. this is a good place I like to look . http://varietyvista.com/ , http://cuds-on-coins.com/ ,and http://doubleddie.com/1801.html .there are more if you look but they help me. And you can always ask the pro's here .I'm not one.good luck hunting

I've been looking for everything in these 2 boxes haha. Wam/cam, double ear, DDO, DDR, die cracks, etc. Plus anything that I think looks interesting.

Almost a Retained Cud, but not yet on this strike. (It might reach that status) The lower edge of the rim is very close to a displacement.
