I've made a few posts about the enormous collection dump I'm working through of silver and clad proof State Quarters mixed with BU business strikes (total of $810 in rolls). I had been looking for particularly nice examples of each reverse to set aside, and found one Utah in particular that was very attractive and frosty. I just opened up another two rolls that had about 20 more similarly frosty/high grade coins in them, and I realized that clearly this was not an instance of a particularly new die on one coin, but rather more of the collection dump (presumably of first-strike coins). I am curious what kind of premium, if any, these coins have, and if there's any reason for me to set them aside.
The premium for these coins if at all, would be very little, but I would recommend putting them into 2x2 holders or even just simply using them as album fillers
Don't be discouraged. Some of these coins will prove to be highly elusive. The Utah, for instance, is usually found nice only in mint sets and these are distinct from BU rolls.
Keep your eyes open for rotated reverses also since these are common in the series.
