Interesting that the US coin is 99.99% 31.103g but from the UK it's 99.9% 31.21g, however I am guessing copy-paste error on the UK website (from the £2 specs).

Wow, 195 pounds at The Royal Mint, is about $258, if I am doing that correctly...

That slightly larger UK box isn't free you know!

Btw, UK seems to use screw caps instead of snap caps, at least for the couple I received a while back. I felt like UK ogp was superior to USMint. UK capsule has a raised flared edge on one side so it only goes into the felt one way. Most of my US ogp are so tight I have to disassemble the ogp and push the capsule out. The UK ogp have been much better fits.

Gorram it why did they have to change the time from the usual 12PM EST to 9AM EST? Totally missed it because I didn't realize they changed the time. Grrr Aargh!

I'd almost missed if my friend didn't remind me the time change, and I think that's why many didn't get the chance, surprise how easy it was for me to place all the 4 items in my bag.

I am in the UK and I bought both silver set and the reverse proof from the US Mint. Looking at my credit card balance, it looks like I will be paying just over £175 for both sets while the single set from The Royal Mint was £195.

So my Christmas present from my family in the US will be for them to sent over my WWII ASE and these Mayflower items in separate packages.

Looking at the photos, the packaging looks the very similar to last year's Pride of Two Nations set. If they are the same, then the capsules should come out very easily.

Thank you jbuck!

It will be interesting to see the value battle over the next couple of weeks.

On the one hand there were clearly a large number of folks who missed the 9am EST timeshift. Was this the reason that allowed the first sell out to take 20 minutes--impressive but longer than I suspect many thought?

On the other hand, there are many speculators hoping for a repeat of what happened just twelve days ago with the WWII coin which will temporarily inflate the price. And while the Mayflower is important to our history, it cannot compare to the importance of WWII in our history at the present time.

Would be nice for the Mayflower 400th Anniversary Silver Reverse Proof Medal to sellout, applying pressure on the entire set of product released today.

As long as that medal remains available, it will depress prices for psychological reasons.

This was originally a pass but the cool design and reverse proof finish was enough to get me to buy the SRP medal. This will actually be my first medal from the Mint.

I am happy with just the silver coin and medal set. I do not need or necessarily want the RP silver medal. However, if it is still available tomorrow I may have to change my mind.

Mint cancelled my 2 coin gold set without warning. At that price I'm not going to lose sleep over it, but it's unbelievable that they would sell more than they had

"cancelled because the item(s) are no longer in our inventory and are not available for backorder"

Machine20 did you get the two emails from the Mint--one saying they received your order and then the second one confirming your order?

My account at the Mint page continues to say 'processing' however I hope mine doesn't get canceled like yours.

Also, about what time EST did you purchase yours? I placed mine at 9am EST on the dot so I'm thinking I should be okay since it didn't sell out for 30-40 minutes.

Cancelation of orders that is definitely not a good sign... Well the Silver Reverse proof medal is still for sale...
